Driver Dies After Two-Vehicle Crash at West Center Road and 222nd Street in Elkhorn/West Omaha
What happened
A driver has died following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of West Center Road and 222nd Street in the Elkhorn area of west Omaha. (WOWT)
According to WOWT, the Nebraska State Patrol was notified of the crash at about 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. A northbound Tesla Cybertruck struck a westbound Nissan sedan in the intersection. The Nissan's driver was life-flighted from the scene and has since died from their injuries. The Cybertruck's driver was not seriously hurt. As of this writing, no names or ages have been released, and the Nebraska State Patrol's full crash reconstruction investigation was still underway, with no cause yet made public.
