Two-Vehicle Crash Closes Eastbound I-80 Near Milford, Nebraska; One Hospitalized
What happened
A two-vehicle crash shut down eastbound Interstate 80 near Milford, Nebraska for more than an hour on Friday afternoon, and sent one person to the hospital. (1011 Now)
According to the Seward County Sheriff's Office and the Nebraska State Patrol, the crash was reported at about 3:02 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026, on eastbound I-80 near mile marker 385/387, close to the Milford exit in Seward County. All eastbound lanes were blocked while crews worked the scene; Nebraska 511 advised drivers to seek an alternate route. The interstate reopened at about 4:29 p.m. One person was hospitalized as a result of the crash. The cause of the crash has not been released, and no names have been made public as of this writing.
